Terms of Service

By accessing or using VentureScan ("the Service", "we", "us") at venturescan.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

VentureScan is an AI-powered startup analysis platform. You submit a startup idea and relevant context; our system generates a structured critical analysis with a recommendation on how to move forward with your idea.

Important: The analysis generated by VentureScan is provided for informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute legal, financial, investment, or business advice. You should consult qualified professionals before making business decisions. No analysis outcome should be interpreted as a guarantee of business success or failure.

You must create an account to use VentureScan. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must provide accurate and complete information during registration. You may not use another person's account without their permission.

You must be at least 16 years old to use VentureScan. By creating an account, you confirm you meet this requirement.

VentureScan offers the following options:

• Free preview: Limited preview on the landing page, no account required.
• Complete Analysis Credits ($49 each): Full analyses purchased one at a time. No subscription. Credits never expire.

Payments are processed by Paddle. By purchasing credits, you also agree to Paddle's Terms of Service.

We offer a 7-day refund policy for first-time customers on their first credit purchase. If you are not satisfied within 7 days of your first purchase, contact us at legal@venturescan.app for a full refund.

Credits already used for completed analyses are non-refundable.

You agree not to use VentureScan to:

• Submit content that is unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful
• Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or extract our AI prompts, system architecture, or proprietary algorithms
• Share account credentials with others to circumvent plan limits
• Use the Service to generate analyses for resale or redistribution without our written consent
• Submit malicious content, spam, or content designed to exploit AI systems
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

Your content: You retain ownership of the startup ideas you submit. By submitting content, you grant VentureScan a limited, non-exclusive license to process it for the purpose of generating your analysis. We do not claim ownership of your ideas.

Our content: The VentureScan platform, including its design, code, prompts, frameworks, and generated analysis structure, is owned by VentureScan and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our platform without written permission.

Generated analyses: The analysis reports generated for your ideas are yours to use for personal and business purposes.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI analyses will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. AI systems can produce incorrect or misleading output.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VENTURESCAN SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through your account settings. We may terminate or suspend your account for violation of these Terms, with or without notice.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections covering intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability survive termination.
